Deer Creek Park – aka “Rocketship Park”

Officially termed “Deer Creek Park“, this beloved St. Louis recreation area in Maplewood is more often known to locals as the “Rocketship Park”. For our family, however, it is the “Big Digger Park”, for reasons that are apparent in the photo. Our three-year-old son enjoys the “diggers”, swings, and large rocketship climbing structure (which, unfortunately, you can’t see in the picture). Even our one-year-old has tons of fun! Locals come from all over to let their kids play at this park, and in the summer you can treat the fam to snow cones at the stand located near the restrooms.
