Free SLSO Concert at Forest Park September 16

Posted on: September 13, 2010

Love the symphony…and the outdoors?

Then get out to Forest Park’s Art Hill this Thursday to hear the renowned St. Louis Symphony Orchestra perform some favorites!

Fireworks will end the evening with a bang, making you glad you stayed until the end.

And it’s all for free!

They will be performing pieces such as The Star Spangled Banner, March from Nutcracker, Water Music selections, The Sound of Music selections, and Stars and Stripes Forever.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Thursday, September 16, 7PM
  • Picnicking permitted (and encouraged!)
  • Bring your own blanket and/or chairs
  • Consider taking some bug spray
  • Free parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis

Sounds like fun! We might try to take our son, at least. One of our goals this year is to expose him to different types of music, for free if possible! 🙂
