One of the best things about Powder Valley Conservation Center is that it offers great indoor and outdoor options. It’s the perfect place to take the kids when you just need to get out of the house but aren’t sure where to go!

Some things to keep in mind when visiting Powder Valley:

  • Located near Geyer and I-44
  • All free!
  • Trails open daily 8-6 or 8-8 (depending on the season)
  • Nature Center Building open Tu-Sa 8-5
  • Many hands-on activities geared toward kids, including pelts to touch, treehouse to explore, fish eyes to look through, and tons more!
  • Trails are paved but generally not handicap-accessible. We’ve taken strollers on them, but it is definitely a workout! Most of the trails are quite steep.
  • Trails vary in range from 1/2 mile to 1 1/5 mile
